Ok have had a bit of a search through old posts but couldn't see anything on this. I'm also a bit new to the 951 and not a mechanic, so talk dumb to me in replies if you can help...
I've lost brake boost assitance on the car, brakes still work but very difficult to stop. traced the vac line from the brake booster to the front of the manifold - where it appears to go back into the manifold the line will not sit - i.e. it won't jam in - is there some sort of grommet or something that the vac line goes into which threads into the manifold or something of the sort?
It's an 86 951.
Thanks for any help!

If I ever have a question about weather or not I'm missing a part or if a part goes here/there I go to this website: www.dcautomotive.com
They have the PET breakdown of every Porsche and it's a very helpful site.

Actually even after looking at that diagram I think I'm still confused - the piece that I'm missing - it fits on the end of vac tube 19??

along those lines...i think my mechanic just sealed that off on my race car...i thought the brakes felt a lot harder, could this be the reason and for what benefit would you do this on a race car...

Jamie have a good hunt in the engine bay a small part like this can often be sitting on the balance shaft or on the stering rack or cross member i think i may have saw the piece on a manifold i cut up a while ago I'll have a look tonight if not there are heaps of things you could stick in there all you realy need is a piece of tube
