front suspension noise
i'm hearing a popping sound and or sometimes a creaking sound from the front suspension. i had the ball joints checked (compressed with channel locks) and they're ok. any ideas? it's somewhat...you know what i mean

When do you hear the sound? Is it more when you turn the wheel back and forth? If so have someone move the steering wheel back and forth while the car is on the ground while you try to reach under the car with your hand and hold each suspension component. You can feel it when the popping noise occur.
I use one of those sthetiscope thingy. A lot of people laugh at it when they see it but it works. My friend had a similar problem with his suspension. He was ready to swap springs and front struts since it was coming from there everytime he turned the wheel. I had him trun the wheel back and forth and put the scope on the bal joints and wallah that's where the noise was coming from.

The spring might be decent on the ball jt, but how good are the bushings. One item Porsche could have improved on were the plastic bushings in the control arms. When I had a noise, turning into the garage, a pop every now and then, it was ball jts. The car drove ok but they were toast.
