So did you ever buy tires or not? If so what did you get and how do you like them? I bet the sidewalls are cool though!

I'm getting another set of Hankooks RS2 since they did me well, and come in the 245/45-16s and the sidewalls are awesome looking, not to mention the treadwear pattern too!!

Another vote for the Fuzions.
I have had the Fuzions for a couple of years now. I am quite pleased with them. The sidewalls are fine.

The sidewall "design" (for lack of a better word) on the Fuzions are ugly, unattractive, plain, dull, boring, sad, styleless, ordinary, crummy, tasteless, etc. See?

What exactly are they supposed to look like? I still can't get past your fixation with sidewall appearance but you have your reasons. I think you just like running down the Fuzion line and spend most of your time at Show N' Shines. Why would performance tires matter in Florida anyway? Aren't there only 3 curve in the entire state?

Actually, we have awesome highways and roads here, and in the summer it gets reaally hot, so you do need a tire that can withstand those high friction temperatures. I have nothing against the Fuzion, it has a nice tread patter, (that's about it) and the sidewall comment is based on my opinion in observing and seeing it up close. It's a simple looking tire, if you look at other tires, they have a nice design i.e. like the Kumho SPT, or the New Yokohama S. Drive, the Avon, etc. see for yourself...

I was looking at these to replace my second set of Kumho Ecsta MX that only seem to last me about 10k miles (treadwear 220 vs 300 on the BFG). NOticed they have 285/30/18 in the BFG... I was running 275/35(?) with the Kumho's.. will the 285s fit a stock 87?

Just messin with ya man! I was there last February and got to drive a WS6 for two weeks back and forth between Longwood and Plantation. It was like driving a waterbed and I even managed to spin it out just pulling out of a driveway in the rain...what a turd of a car.

Honestly though? you don't like the sidewall DESIGN? I just don't get it i guess because I buy tires for how they perform, not how they look. I could give a rats *** what they looked like, so long as they did the job I require them to.

When was the last time you bagged a chick because she liked your tire sidewall?

Plantation? Nice area, that's right next to where I work in Weston, just north of I-595, which I love because there is never any traffic and it's a nice straight away...

Look at the design in the pic I put up, what's there to like, honestly? They look good on a Mustang, and who are we kidding, looks matter a lot in today's society, especially on a unique and exquisite looking model like ours. To a chick with a minimal attention span, it won't matter since they are not very observant, to a enthusiast who sees and notices everything, it will...look at the nice sidewall on my avatar...

eh, your money, your car, do whatever, but it just seems odd that you might even consider going with an inferior tire based on the patern on the sidewall.

Side note: Ever see the sidewall on the RA/1? It says "TOYO" and the size, and all the other necessary stuff, but that's it. and that's a tire that means business.

Last note before I STFU... I dislike the looks of tires trying to be flashy. it'd never keep me from buying a tire, I just think it looks tacky.
