The wheels in the picture are from a 911 not 944 turbo S rims. I want to know a price for a set in good condition. I have a friend who have a set and he is thinking in selling them to me.

If you're talking about this wheel, then I've seen sets sell anywhere from $300 to $1300. It depends on condition, widths, center caps, what kind of tires, etc. Polishing them is what really makes them valuable. I love these wheels!

You can polish ordinary D90 wheels if yo like, but polishing Club Sports is just plain sacrilege.

Yes that are the rims, I wish my friend think like 2bridges so I can buy them for $50 a set. But he dont. I like these rims, 1. they are forged, 2 they weight less 3. you can add 1 inch to the rear. 4 you mantain your original spec. I know that are some much prettier rims out there, other one that I like is the C2 turbo rims 17 inch

The anodized finish was also found on the 928 "sewer lids" used on the 928 and 951. There were even used on the 924 Turbo. That anodize finish is factory for sure, but I don't consider to be special. If you want restored factory correct wheel it does need to be anodized. Otherwise I like the period polished look. I have than on my Turbo S think it makes what in today's world is a small 16" wheel look alot larger.

Polished is nice but too "bling" and not "Porsche looking" enough for me. But again, to each his own.

Here in the mid-Atlantic, decent non-show quality Club Sports, round and true with minor oxidation and/or light curb rash can usually be found for between $600 and $800 for a set of four. Concours quality, obviously ups the ante.
My nice weather driver Turbo S uses a set that I buffed out by hand with fine steel wool and maintain with an occasional dash of WD40 for shine. Bought 'em at Hershey for $630 total with some usable rubber and center caps included.

I like the original Porshce wheels, some more than others.
Some of the afermarket choices are hilarious though. I've been getting a good laugh over some of the recent wheel threads - keep em comin.

I sold a complete set of 4 with matching center caps a few years ago for $600. The anodizing was in pretty good shape but did show signs of some harsh cleaners used on them.
