Default Water Spray Onto Intercooler

Has anyone rigged up a water mist spray for their intercooler? Apparently Subaru has a kit for their WRX's which sprays a water mist onto their intercoolers when they're on boost which is said to give them an extra 7kW. Would someting like this work for us?

Ive seen the nitrous set up for cooling the intercooler but not water. Would that be efficient?

why not just hook up a co2 kit to spray the inter cooler with a short burst of co2? i think that would be more efficient...

My friend did it on his turbo corolla by routing his windshield sprayer to his FMIC. He got kicked off the track though because a lot of the water dripped onto the track.

wow - poor form. I would be awfully pissed off if somebody put me and my car at risk for such a stupid cause.

propper setups use a very fine mist that evaopates nearly every drop

CO 2 can get ingested by your intake and cause a loss of power, conversely Nitrous can also get ingested BUT, in un-calculated amounts causing the opposite with potentially dangerous results.

Yeah, he's not the brightest crayon in the box. His turbo 2004 corolla looks horrible lol. There is no engine management, its on stock injectors, stock internals, and he's pushing 15lbs of boost. And instead of finding the right size couplers for his plumbing he just wraps the tube with duct tape until the coupling fits snug.

But in his defense he beat a new mustang gt in the 1/8th mile haha.
