Default What is this 951 worth?

Here is what is in the ad,

This car need some work.
The front seats are cracked and split.
The dash board needs to be replaced.
The carpet is in pretty bad shape too.
A previous owner’s girlfriend keyed the paint.

• We replaced the air-conditioning system,
• Upgraded the A/C to R134 components.
• Installed a new alternator.
• Installed new tires.

1988 Turbo S, White over burgundy, 97,000 miles on odometer but it no longer works.

The interior looks bad... Seats are in horrible condition, carpet looks stained, steering wheel is all blackened. The engine bay is filthy, looks like it is leaking power steering fluid. No reciepts for timing belts or clutch.

They are currently asking $8500. Seems a little high for me considering all the problems. What do you all think? Pics below...

I am looking for a 951 in this price range but think I could get better.

$5 - $6k IMHO because if the interior looks like that, other $hit has not been taken car of either.

$5-7k If the mechanicals are good. But judging by how the rest of the car was kept, I would run very fast in the opposite direction.

Yea, I was thinking $6500 since paint work, interior work, clutch and timing belt will add up quickly!! I will probably stay clear of this one. I don't need another project 951.

That seems like ALOT considering what the car needs. Would make a nice track car, but all the peticulars would need to be taken care of if you were going to drive it around town.

Im seeing the 951 S's in bad shape going for $4 - $5K now! I have seen 2 red '89's and a black '88 all go in the last few months for these low prices! Its a shame that the cars have come to this with M030, AOR transaxle, 250 HP motor, 928 brakes! A real shame!
