Unhappy Ghosts in the engine bay

I keep finding vacuum lines disconnected. On the weekend I found one to some gadget had come off, a while ago one to the fuel pressure regulator was off and last night I found the one to the idle controller had come loose. Is this a sign that I should replace all my hoses because they're old and hard?

If something old and hard is giving you a PITA, then you need to run away and call the cops.

I agree with the above... but anyway
Replace them with the lindsey racing kit for $30. It takes 30 minutes and you can add zip-ties for added security if you want.

Has it stayed hard for longer than 4 hours?

The ghost is the pressure of mr. boost. Once you get to know him he's not so scary.

I usually run away before 4 hours go by, so I can't answer that.

Yeah, I wondered whether I was being visited by Mr Boost. I think I'll replace all my lines, add some cable ties and see if he'll go away.
