Default Stall then not turning over...

so i did some autox today and the course got wet and i spun the car... it pushed out on the passenger side then all the way around on the driver side, when it stopped moving it wouldnt turn over all the way. it will almost fire up and hit 650 rpm but then drop to 0 i have 2 spare DME relays that i tested and it still wouldnt fire. oh and the engine was real hot to the touch... i couldnt place my hand on the intake.

any tips would help

The engine being hot like this is probably normal for an AutoX. Those turbos really get hot sometimes.

If it was wet outside, try making sure no moisture got in your distrubutor cap.

+1 for distributor cap

When you spun out, i take it you killed the engine right??? why does everyone do that on autox events?

C'mon! Push in that clutch!!!

My bone stock 951 had vapor lock issues at the track when I took it for the first time, it'd barely idle on restart after a run and then die, but if I kept my foot on the gas like a minute or so it'd start idling fine and run great on the track the next session. I started leaving the hood up between sessions to help dissipate the underhood heat and the problem went away.

But, this was on the track where I'm out for 20-30 minutes at a time at high RPM. In an auto-x might not be as likely, but you never know.

i pushed in the clutch... that is why i wondered why it died...

so i pulled the cap off the end of the fuel rail and it just dripped out even while trying to turn it over.

that would be a sigh of bad fuel pump right? or it just isnt getting any power?

Yes. if you take the nut off the end of the fuel rail, and fuel isnt coming out. The fuel pump is not being run. First start with the fuse I guess. Make sure its getting spark too. Im not too sure by the description, but it sounds like you might be.

Unless youre out of gas....

ok so the fuel pump doesnt turn on when i turn the key or try to turn the engine over. i have 2 spare DME relays that i changed out and still nothing. i checked the fuse for the pump and still nothing.

so the fuel pump is dead? or could it be something else?

you will need to remove the cover for the fuel pump at the bottom of the tank, grab your trusty voltmeter, and check the voltage at the connector while cranking, if you have 12v, and no fuel at the rail, then your pump has taken a dump.
