HAHAHHA - well Put RKD. Agree is all respects except one....... I own a P car to perform. A P car that can't perform is just an overpriced collectable in my world. Neat and nifty in many cases, but not my cup.

Still to your point if you bought a 944 to get chicks ..... you screwed up

I own both. True it doesn't have the seat of the pants accelaration the modified 951 has under boost. But when it comes to daily driver and throwing it around, the Boxster S is awesome. Love that engine tone too. A lot of people talk down on Tip tarns too but take your average drivers and put them on a road course the Tip will probaly win most of the time.

And yes. I have two P-cars that ends with a S. 951 S is for me and the Boxster S Tip is for my wife. :-)

I had the 914 when I was in college. It was a fun little car. Great gas mileage and girls loved to be seen in it. Perfect for a college student.

When I got the 88 944TS I was looking for a 928 and couldn't find a nice one in my price range. The 944 was just a stop gap until I found a 928. I daily drove the 88 TS for 4 years. It got me into autocrossing. I did lots of upgrades for the day to be competitive autocrossing against 911 Turbos and RS Americas. By the end of the 4 years, it was the car to beat.

I sold the 944TS when I finally found a really nice 928 GT. I was doing a lot of highway traveling and the 928 was the best car I've ever taken a trip in. It didn't do too bad autocrossing either. Though it wasn't as fast as the 944 Turbo, I still got FTD on occasion.

When I stopped doing the road trips I sold the 928 and leased a new BoxsterS. It was a more competitive autocrossing than the 944TS or the 928 and fun to drive around town with the top down. The lease payment was the same as the repair bills on the 928 and if anything broke I just called 1 800 Porsche, got towed to the dealer and got a loaner while it was being warranty repaired.

When the lease was up on the Boxster I got my current 944 Turbo because of Lindsey Racing. Dave and Mike have both been good friends of mine for some time. We did some of the initial Boost Enhancer and Intercooler testing on my 88 TS. It's actually Dave's white car now. They were doing some amazing things to make more power that just weren't possible when I drove the white car. I wanted to join in the hp fun.

Let me tell you that your statement is not accurate, I have own four 944 n/a and twelve 951's and the only boys under 25 that sent me their naked pictures were Dereck and Eyal, where are the rest??

The Boxter can be quite fast around a track if set up right. The Cayman is a rocket. If that spanked you by 3 secs that just shows how good they are. I agree in that n/a cars don't feel as good as a turbo car and in the same way I don't want my turbo to have no lag, coming on at 2000rpm. I want them to kick me in the back at about 3500rpm. The skill in tracking these is greater than driving the Cayman quickly. The thing that impresses most with the Boxter/Caymans are how short a time they are on the brakes. You just see the brake light flick on and off while I'm standing on my brakes for what seems like an eternity compared....but I still want my car more.
