Is that a Nissan alternator? It looks very much like my Nissan Quest 130amp alternator.

Excellent work as always

Tim, two more questions, First, that SFR thottle body....have you tested it to see what PSI boost it can hold? The stock ones I have tried all start to leak around 23psi even after a rebuild. Once I change my turbo again I plan to run close to 45psi boost. I'm looking to a for TB that will definately not leak around the seals at that pressure.

Second, what ever happened to your old intake that reversed the IC flow and went down the center of the engine rather than over the turbo? I am interested in a design similar to that as the new turbo I am installing will need ALOT of room.

Thanks.

Tim
Those alternators work great. My stock one used to be so close to the turbo it would always overheat. Cold the gauge would read about 14v then slowly drop to 12v, sometimes a little under. When the bearings in it gave out last year I installed this Nissan alternator. Even on a 90' day of hard running, the gauge reads a constant 14v....plus there's lots more room for a bigger turbo.

Tim

Things are looking great. I just hope the dyno numbers are as good as this motor is pretty. Tim is going to break this in for me.....I hope he has fun and gets the 951 bug and gets his 951 going again. I wish I wasn't a six hour drive from his shop.

My next DE event will be a surprise to many of the folks that I've been driving with over the years.

Looking good. Can't wait to see it. A few of us just got back from a local car show and another 951 would have fit in nicely. It was 90% muscle cars, 5% Vettes, and a lot of old hot rodders scratching thier heads when looking under the hood of the 951. You could actually see them trying to draw the air-flow path with thier fingers.
