Dont feel bad, neons are pretty fast. 2.4l, twin cam, 2600lb...they are very easy to make fast. Its too bad they dont make the SRT-4 in RWD

A few simple upgrades should level the playing field a bit for you, but dont expect that you are going to be at the top of the food chain with a 951

Yeah - I drive between Denver and Colorado Springs quite often, so I need headlights. Maybe if someone would come up with a decent HID solution to replace the pop-ups..?

Nice 89. I think these cars are just amazing, and look forward to working on mine more.

Lart, while those headlight deletes look nice, they don't seem to throw a lot of light. What are they like out of the city when you need a much better light?

The pencil beam on the euro fog light was too high, I could see clearly at night. but I didn't drive my car as much at night nor in rain, nor in heat only in special days .

check this video from another perspective.

I am not an expert on SRT4s, but I think the earlier ones were around 2600. Newer ones probably weigh in at 2700-3000 lbs. I consider that light for an American car.

My point was that it is not too hard to make them really fast. There is a huge aftermarket for the neons, and the go fast goodies are cheap.

I would never buy one, I used to hate seeing those cars cleaning up at the local street races when they first came out.

In my computer simulator I had encounters with SRT4's, once on the fwy about 10pm at night I did a few runs againts this particular srt4 but it was kinda sad because by the end of 4th i'll be at least "no joke" a couple hundred feet ahead of him.
race fuel sure helps when you up that boost.

on my computer the SRT4 was about 10 cars behind at the top of 4th from a 70MPH roll... after that he gave up.

Also ran a test run with a Grand Cherokee SRT8, computer says dead even to the top of 4th then I pull him.
