That review was the reason I bought the Innovate. Another plus is that the software allows you to configure the analog outs for whatever scale you want.

But the Innovative is only wideband right? No user inputs, EGT, etc.?

Both Innovative and Zt-2 have a link to the article on their websites. Although, you have to be a member of Fordracing.com to read the whole article.

Are there any piggy back units that also have wideband data logging?

But is that all that comes in the kit or those pieces have to be bought in addition?

yeah your right. However i think those rating are not very accurate. i saw the innovate and saw it being installed and setting it up was a nightmare. The installer is very experience lol. The zt2 in the other hand is basically opposite of what it really is lol

The install and setup of the Innovate is not anymore complicated than other wideband setups. The only thing that gets confusing is adding parts to the modular setup, but even then there are pretty solid instructions on how to set everything up.

Anyhow the XD-16 wideband is only a gauge, however it does have a record feature built into the gauge. If you wanted to actually datalog, you need to buy the AuxBox (LMA-3) which will allow you to record boost, EGT, duty cycle and a few other things.

The real nice thing about the XD-16 is that it can also be configured to display boost and temperature using the AuxBox. The downside however is the MSRP of the gauge alone is $230....and you need to buy the $240 AuxBox.. .

yeah more money for like 500. with the Zt2 its 279 and you get to monitor everything besides egt and boost. of course you can buy the sensors and have it log

Yay mine wins! Innovate can do everything (boost, egt, injectors, RPM) Just you need additional units and they add up to be quite costly compared to the others. The cheapest is without gauge and you'd need the controller($250) and auxbox($250) and the gauge would be an additional $230. But obviously innovate reforms better. Initially I bought the AEM but the the innovate won me over. I was actually seriously looking at the auxbox the other day.

The Innovate has been at the TOP of my to-do list for months now. I feel good knowing that from all the opinions I have read on this site, and the testing data, that I have made a great choice. I think that the expandability alone makes it worth it in the long run as you can add the full data logger at a later date if you do not want to tune with a laptop alone while on the dyno.

Also the different gauge face/trim options are nice for those of us who like to change things up from time to time.
