p.s. And due to poluting the enviromnet, I'd guess that old air in tires is more pure.

Don't forget to inspect your blinker fluid system, don't want that stuff all over the track if you have a bad line.

P.S. I've heard of studs failing, but its very rare (my dad tracks his 911 and is still using the original studs)

Guess I was confused about studs or lugnuts with this post. I have changed the lugs to steel, and have plenty of spares.

My wheel studs are original and will be replaced eventually.

I got a whole 11,300 miles out of the Pirelli PZero Rossos that came on my 2007 BMW X3. I only autocrossed it once, but I did get FTD by .003 seconds. There was this warning sticker on the windscreen stating that the vehicle was equipped with "high performance tires" that would last less than 20,000 miles. I did however expect a few more than 11.3K. The only tires available to replace the Rossos in the sizes that came on it were, well, Rossos. Guess that's the cost of having that lllM badge on the wheels, door sill, and Steering wheel. I am still applying salve were my wallet was.

The really interesting bit is that in the manual it says not to drive the SUV with these wheels and tires if the temperature is below 32°F. The dash beeps and displays a warning when the outside temperature drops below 37°F.

Studs: Replace when they break or appear damaged, so far on my car never.

I have yet to break any studs on my cars but I had a friend who snapped all the studs on one rear axle of his corvette...actually it was his dad's corvette and that was the very last time he drove it.
