Dan, we are on the same page. I'm working on something that will make things even simpler.
Ignition timing for 3.0L is different than the 2.5L. 2.8L stroker is different than 2.8L big bore etc... 3.0L is different than 3.2L.. Each setup is unique!

All this talk of timing I think has skipped well ahead .
I thought "running Electromotive Tech 3R successfully" means
my car starts and me or my friend are able to tune it .
I think the discussion of optimal timing maps is kind of off topic .
comments like" I plugged in my Vitesse and had it running in 10 minutes"
are valid comparisons . .
If the tuning set up is user friendly you can easily put in the timing values given to you by a rennlister with similar engine and fuel . to get you started
any one considering getting programmable EFI doesn't expect to simply plug it in and have the optimal mapping. .
this magic bullet approach is that of the far cheaper custom chip

I am running a Tec3r on my 2.8L, it is a great system and i have no complaints.
I know its not a 3.0L but maybe there is something that I can help you with. Do you have any specific questions?

"Is anyone running Electromotive Tech 3R successfully on a 3.0litre 8v 951 Turbo?
If so are you willing to share your experiences? "
He asked about the system on a 3ltr 8v turbo. That is pretty clear. There isn't one person that said yes to the question.
Some people have Tec3 experience and thats helpful for programing but I think he is also looking for help with the 3ltr 8v turbo portion, probably the mapping.
All this talk of other brands, plug and play, etc.. is not helping him tune or make a decision to buy a Tec3 and run it on a 3ltr 8v turbo.

1. dyno as stock.
2. Link Stand alone, injectors
3. head/cam, exhaust and d/p, intake, TB, IC and IC pipes.
4. I have a bunch of turbo's I'm going to dyno and header designs.
5. See what it takes to lay down a solid 400rwhp and then maybe a bit more like 603rwhp.
6. remove 8v head and introduce a 16v head and block fitted with new Alusil liners, 16v pistons, deck plate, pinned girdle and keep the last turbo on it that I picked above and see what it will do with 8 more valves.
You know, some simple stuff..
Then dyno it at each stage and post results.. I'll start a new thread.
