A garage with a guy that has '04 GT3 with drilled factory rotors. If you look closely, you can see spider cracks in the rotors at almost any time.
do a search on "richard glickel." he post a while back a site that only did these type of conversions

to wake this up again, I finally got my calipers today!

someone wouldn't happen to have the spacing on bolt holes on caliper and on 951 hubs and the thread pitch data laying around so I don't have to measure? I will share drawings once done.

My understanding is that the older narrow axle cars are easier to do this conversion on. The later offset is very difficult. Check with Olli also.

This issue has been discussed soooooo many times. Here's my and Pete's stuff. Calipers in these pictures are installed into Pete's superb 1987 951.

Disks used are 996 TT fronts and GT3 rears.

Calipers are GT2 6-six pot fronts and GT3 4-pot rears. New ET cars will need a handbrake shoe adapter if you would like to have a working handbrake. For old ET car GT3 rear disk is a bolt on job.
Front adapters will not work with 951 S spindle.
With our adapters GT2/GT3/996TT/997TT calipers will bolt on directly to 1987-88 non M030 or 951S cars.

By commercially available, I meant from a store or web page where they could be ordered.

I have seen this setup in almost every brake upgrade thread pn Rennlist and it is beautiful but have never seen a price on the adapters or way to order them.

I have a non-S car and I am interested but would need to see the whole package working together. Some have talked about the cost of the rotors being more than enough to justify the purchase of Big Black/Reds given that you can use the 928 GTS rotors and they are fairly cheap and don't require custom hats, 18" wheels, and expensive pads that would drive up the package price.

If someone could show me a breakdown of the costs, both purchase and operating (wear items), I would be happy to sell my Big Black adapters and go all monoblock, but as of yet, I have not seen a convincing discussion.

If you are just doing daily driving and a bit of AutoX or even DE'ing on a reasonably stock to mid hp car, the Big Blacks are the best bang for buck upgrade there is. If you want the bling then do the Olli thing.

Pete & i paid about +3K€ (per car) of the complete set. It's not a cheap upgrade but it performs greate and looks very nice. Big Reds / original rears looks like a moped brakes compared to these.

By commercially available, I meant from a store or web page where they could be ordered.
That's major problem for most of us. Be innovative, design parts, make them or have them made, it's not that difficult. We have done quite a lot parts for our cars, for example glassfibre stuff.

Laminating front splitter

Some ready items

Here's some rods a local shop made for us

Pete & i have some very nice parts under developing process, which should be ready during spring.
