Hi all
Thanks again for the compliments...
CarbonRevo, the avatar is not new, it's also an old picture. I'm waiting for my new polishing tool to finish the bonnet using Farecla G3 and G10, apply Swissvax and put the white stripes back on it.
In the mean time, some more old pics...

and some engine / powertrain components:
heavy duty rods (very high quality, you can not even see where the upper and the lower end join
):

CarbonRevo: No. I'm not kidding ;D I still have not received the polishing tool so I'm starting to get impatient...as you probably are, too ;D
Gator...yes, you are very right in what you are saying...that's why Zurich is known as the so called "little-big city" in Europe...I really like it though as you have the best of both worlds here...busy international city and peaceful countryside only separated 20 minutes by train...
Has anybody some thoghts or comments regarding the peformance estimates of the hood / bonnet louvers that we started discussing on the last page? I think this is an interesting point!?
Cheers

Finally the desperately awaited shipment from Germany arrived...it included a shiny little piece of metal ![burnout](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/burnout.gif)

Now only the pistons are missing, otherwise all components are ready for my new 3.0.
I also spent Saturday and Sunday this weekend doing some "extreme detailing" (two cars within 24 hours are too much if you have to go to work on monday again
)...check out some of the results:

![](http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q93/951rsr/DSC00459small.jpg)
Will post some more pics of these two cars later if you want to (I hope that everybody agrees on that a 964 Turbo 3.6 is also a very nice car even if it has the engine in the wrong place
)
Cheers

Yes, **Brand new** My source might have some more for sale, I can check if somebody is interested (price was very fair)...I assume though that there will not be more than 2 left...just to avoid another godzilla thread like the bumper one
DUKE, you may also do this on your own, as long as you only do one car per weekend its quite an easy and fun job...Mark and I will add an illustrative Swissvax Porsche Detailing guide to our new websites soon. If I still have to come over to Stockholm then, I will do your car and take your engine with me![jumper](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/jumper.gif)
They will be released soon...there's a lot waiting for you guys.

I love that first picture of the 951. Clean the tires up, then drive on a little dust/ dirt. It just looks so good to me when that is done.
And wow. That 964 is one of the best looking Porsches I have ever seen (from the rear).

...I first wanted the 951 as an interim solution only and then soon "move on" to a 911 Turbo, ideally a 964 Turbo. Driving the car and working on it made me change my opinion on the 951 quickly though. Even if I also love 911s (especially the 930, the 964 turbo and the 993 turbo) and am absolutely addicted to their engine sound I prefer the handling and the ergonomics of the 951. The 951 is much more a drivers car due to a perfect seating and controls position, position, pedals, etc. In stock configuration it is quite fast in an unspectacular way being the complete opposite of a 964 turbo which is more spectacular than a chipped 951 but not faster at all…So instead of going down the standard route and buy a 964 turbo, I decided to use the 951 as a reliable and solid platform to build a very fast and more spectacular version of it…and there we go…
The status pictured above is from last summer. Let's have a look at the different areas of it…

Hi all
Thanks for your positive comments.
I really like both cars, especially because they are very different. 964 Turbo 3.6 for me is the classic puristic 911 with an iconic powerful shape. It is a lot to heavy for my preferences though and as stated before I don't like the seating position, the steering wheel and the gearshift **** position, basically the entire controls in and the handling of it.
Sound and appearance-wise it is a killer though. My ultimate 911 turbo based choice would be a 964 Turbo S "Leichtbau", light and powerful:
![](http://www.petermorgan.org.uk/images/dataguide/964%20Turbo%20S.jpg)
The 951 more convinces from a performance and drivers perspective as you know but I also really like the way this classic one here looks. Red is not my favourite colour but if it looks as good as that one after Swissvax treatment then it's a nice colour also on the long run. The 930 Fuchs wheels also get the best out of it.
I used a 13 Megapixel Sony Digital Reflex Camera, need to check details if required. I'm not a professional photographer at all, as I'm not a professional detailer either, obviously its all up to using the right tools and materials![burnout](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/burnout.gif)
Gina.Kane...I rather don't do this...it would be funny though to post these pictures, wait a few days and then state that the 951 is a better handling and better drivers car![order](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/order.gif)
