New Car (pics)... Out with the old, in with the new
So I bit the bullet and bought myself my first new car last month... 2007 BMW Z4 M Coupe. With the ridiculous deals on the car right now I couldn't pass it up. I think part of my love for the car comes from its obvious similarities to the 944 body. It's an amazing beast -- the same engine as the E46 M3 with 330 HP (and 80% of the torque is available from 2k rpms on), it pulls hard all the way to 8k. It's such a strange feeling not having to wait for the turbo to spool, and it's nice for once not to have to worry if that smell on the freeway is my car burning something, or if that sound means something is about to die. Anyways, I just wanted to share my excitement.
Once I get the 951 ready, I'll be putting it up for sale. Hopefully that will happen within the next few weeks. It will be sad, seeing as the last 5 years or so I've always had a 951, and it's been my dream car since I was younger. I guess I found something a bit dreamier to me. Maybe someday when I'm rich I'll pick up another one.

I just found a new background (the 2nd picture). You have a larger hi-res copy of that image? I'd love to have it.
That car is down-right sexy in coupe form. I bet it is a monster. 330hp in that tiny thing. The rear trunk/ hatch lid (whatever it is) reminds me of the M6's soo much. Very awesome looking car. Even better in black. Man...How wide of rear tires can you fit on that thing? 295s or 305s would look baddddasss out back lol.

On the stock wheels I believe you can do 245/275, but no idea how big you can go with aftermarket rims.

I love little cars with WIDDE tires. It makes the car look more like a car you don't wana F with! lol
Man, can't stop looking at that car. Looks so exotic in coupe form.

My kids are always telling me that here in So Cal it looks gayish for a man to drive a convertible specially if 2 guys are in the car with the top down.
