My car has tons of various studs throughout the engine bay that have rubber caps on them. I put extra/ leftover nuts on them.

S2 and Turbo bodies were made to be either or. Then from the lot of bodies, they were picked by either the turbo line or S2 line. Thus explaining some turbos having the S2 ICM mount, and my S2 having mounting points for turbo items (heating shield by brake booster to be specific).

I've already done it...picked up 15 ponies on the dyno by doing that cheap little mod...someone posted my pics of it on here once...but not sure how to do it myself...

oh and I have an 87 turbo as well...same wierd bowling ball holder...so not sure what it does

The plate itself does not hold anything up. The horns mounted beneath it are mounted on the L bracket that drops down.

You can also put your special tool "the vacuextender" for the ***** shinkage problem
