I don't know why I typed "kilo"
We've been joking about it for a long time, too.

I think you should out on the 16 valve, and tell us hiw much you had to turn the boost DOWN, to get to 600whp.

Good luck bud. It will be fun to watch.

Mr Tool

As this is my second post I do not want to come across improperly but I would like to extend an invitation to run your engine on an engine dyno now or when you achieve what in my opinion will be very difficult if not impossible. Do you realize that for a 602 rwhp you would need to be making 735 at the crank assuming a calculated 18% of lose. Now to make 700rwhp the engine will need to produce 854 at the crank. Would you share at what kind of boost you intend to do this? What RPM are you expecting to turn the engine? A run a 40 to 50 lbs of boost should realize your goal but I think you will not be able to pick up groceries for very long. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, I'm mostly interested on how you thinking of accomplishing this.

Wink

BTW, a 911 motor that I personally developed and built from a GT3 RS six butterfly race engine spare no expense into a twin turbo will produce 805 hp at the crank on a 901 Superflow engine dyno @ 1 bar. Also in case you do not realize it the engine is a 3.6 liter 4 valve engine.

I would like to expand my knoeledge base if you can assist.

Shhh Ivan, the questions you're asking are considered blasphemy over here, and the punishment for that is severe. The Righteous Followers are more than willing to stone you dead for that!

Just wait and see...

Whoever paid for that build from the RS must have DEEEEP Pockets!! Also if this was a no expense spared build, why is that the Supras can develop approx. 2 times this with about the same sized engine? I know this is real dyno queen stuff but you wonder why their power figures are just so much higher than something like the engine you mention in this thread.

Ask them at what boost level are they running there engines and what kind of longevity are they getting out of it, We can go on and on about this. From my involvement with Porsche cars and race cars it has always been from a road racing perspective were long lasting performance is KEY. An engine like the one that Iam describing here has run on race tracks for over a year and a half, reving to 8500 every shift between 1.1 to 1.3 bar.
If I wanted to make the power of the Supras running 30 to 45 pounds of boost would surely matchet but more than likely exceed it.
