If they are reasonably priced I think you would do well. I'd like to see them cast with a semi gloss black primer. I would think that many of us would bolt them on this way without paint. It would look good and easy to repair.

urethane would be quite a bit heavier than f/g depending on each thickness.
How bout doing them primed black, and then if those who wanted to paint them could, others to have black front and back?

If it is flexible, will it fold under at speed? If so it is useless.
