Tips for installing V-band exhaust!! URGENT
WOW. I thought vband clamps were supposed to make installing my exhaust easier, not make my life into a living hell. Im trying to install my exhaust, and I have a vband connection from the downpipe to the rest of the exhaust.... nomatter what I do I cannot get the pipe into the clamp to tighten it down. If I start with the clamp open, I cant close it becuse i have no clearance for my hand, if i start with it closed i cant get the pipe in.
I was supposed to leave for NYC hours ago, and the only thing I have left is this one friggin clamp!!!
Is there some kind of trick that Im missing here???

Make sure the downstream leg is loose, put the band on and snug it up. Bang on the outer circumference of the vband and retighten, repeat as necessary. Tighten downstream leg.
