ST, I'm replacing my headgasket on my 3.0 16v cos it blew yesterday, so will put in 951 rods when in there and thought I might as well try to get some 968 forged pistons and do those at the same time... - got the boost bug now!
I was runnning stock S2 3.0 16v with T04B 60-1 hifi at 10psi, great fun but I'd like to go a bit harder.

Tom M'Guinn has some Tom C 105 turbo pistons, well I think he still has them if you plan on doing any machine work and want to bump up the boost.
Here's a pic of a Tom C piston coating, after 3.5 years in our track car, after #4 rod failed. Coating was still excellent.

Scott Gomes has some used Arrow and one other brand, about 20 minutes of dyno time and one event on them that he has indicated he'd make a deal on. I've told a couple about these...they may be gone but a phone call might yield a good result and a decent price break.

thanks Ski will call and see.
Smokimon944, what caused it, yes I made some simple mistakes, a couple of months prior to turboing the car, I replaced the coolant, got interupted and forgot to bleed the system, absolutely cooked the head, I thought I had got away with it but thats one likely cause. The other potential reason is my fuel pump has been making some noises recently and the day I blew the gasket I had the low fuel light on, its possible the fuel pump caused it to run lean on very low fuel, anyway it will be replaced.
ST thanks for recommendation

Shame to hear that Mike, but I sorta expected you to go deeper into the boost eventually. hehe
Once you get bit, it's too hard to shake off. Thing is you also get used to the normal dose and so you have to up the ante, again and again. Maybe you should contemplate how you're going to feel in 12 months time with the 16 psi and wonder what's the next step. E85???
