WTB set of 968 pistons...
#32
I have had respsonse from Racer Edge quoting $900 for a new set of S2 Wossner made to specification $225 each including rings. However I expect these will be machined and locally coated - possibly back to the lottery situation, anyone running Wossner on 944 turbos?

thanks Olli, as much as I'd like to go new pistons, I really cant afford to go to this route just yet thats why I was chasing second hand 968 units for now. Appreciate your suggestion though.

[QUOTE=Olli Snellman;4922044] They can make them with Ferrostan coating just like the original 951 pistons.QUOTE]
The coating is not like the original Mahles. Its an all together different finish but is suppose to work in Alusil bores.

Yes, thats true they are Mahle blanks BUT in regards to the coating and finish, thats not what I found. When I took it out of the box, it looked like it had spray on truck lining on it. IMHO, Mahle's are light years nicer. Hell, JE's are light years nicer, they just expand more.
