yeah i tried to fit some 86 belt covers on this motor, did the cutout for the pump and for the tensioner, but the crank pulley for the bottom of the TB seemed to not fit right- like it was rubbing on the cover when i put it on there. Not sure if the 88 turbo belt covers are cut out larger at the bottom or what. I know that there are a few different types of belt covers so if anyone has a full inner/outer for an 88-89 that would be great- and soon!

Are they different because after 86, the 87+ cars used a different tensioner?

Yea, I don't know whats different but I've been bit by mismatched covers - the bolts won't all line up. Bruce
