The 944 is a turd, the 951 is only less of a turd. They just feel cheap and disposable, as they were the entry level model, much like a cavalier or the 4cyl Mustang of its day. Don't hate me for the facts.

funny thing about a year ago there was a thread about how much money 928 owners made vs 951 owners guess who made more money?

Must be friends as a fellow Porsche driver is waving to me. BTW, the red one is mine. AKA, turd.

I have to respectfully disagree with the cheap and entry level line. Ive owned modded 3000gt mitsu's and had buddies w/ supras and z cars and my car at 21 yrs of age still feel much tighter than any of those newer cars. I test drove a 928 at a dealer in Keego Harbor once but thought it lacked push you into the seat power. It was an auto though, like most. Must have been a shortage of 5 speeds, all going to the 951 line.

Honestly, the back end of that doesn't look that bad. I'd hack a couple of inches off the bottom of the rear skirt, but otherwise I might be able to live with it.

The front end being turned into a peugeot 206 is just retarded.

I still consider the late-model 944 interior as one of the best I've ever had the pleasure in which to sit. I can't stand the 928 interior - fat and bloated - way too much plastic for my tastes. Everything about the 944 interior feels and is rock solid.

At least until you try to fix something broken, at which point all the plastic parts break. Excellently engineered, just not for working on.

Although I respect the 928 for its power in the later years....looking at the pic George D supplied of his 951 side-by-side(though not for long..) the 928...My God the 951 just looks more about its business of being a sports car than the 928.

That 928 musta been gearing down for the pits. That 951 looks like a big red brick on the track.

Better a brick on the track, then a brick that looks like it came out of my *** ala Giant Turd, ala Porsche's GT car, err, 928.

I will make a deal with you to settle your current debate with me. You are close enough to me to prove your 951's superiority over my 928. My proposal to you is a 0-60 race as well as a 1/4mi. race then to seal it, a race to flat out top speed. If you beat me in any one event, you will be the new owner of my 928. And vice versa if you do not.
