Would the Toyota dealership be responsible for any damage?

my n/a liked to use oil on the track. I forgot to check it for a couple of sessions and when i did it was about 2.5qts low. !! i added oil and it didnt make any noise. Went back out on the track and it spun a rod bearing. Who knows how much damage it did- just have to wait and see.

I did a similar thing on my turbo at the track and spun a bearing. Oh, I wish I knew then what I know now...

well my car also had 120k on it at that time and had prob. been low on oil quite a few times - i know i ran it low a few times just because i didnt realize i would have to check it so often being a newer car... im sure w/ newer bearings it would take awhile to do the same.

Youre fine dude! Real men track their cars no oil on the dipstick.

Jk

But my car consumes oil if I drive it aggressivly. Many a time has it gone below the dipstick, but i just throw a quart and its fine.

Ryan, I don't understand why some are making this out to be such a big deal. Knowledge is only helpful when taken in context with the situation. In other words... what are you willing and able to do about it?? In a perfect Porsche world I understand you would pull the engine and inspect everything and then replace any part that even smelled suspicious all the while driving your GT3 in the down time. I could be way off here but if you're anything like me (and many others) you have work, school, family, inlaws, no money..etc..etc... You understand there's really nothing you can do about it but cross your fingers and hope for the best. I think you're going to be just fine.

I just look on the bright side... if it blows up i can build a better one. Or I can push it into lake lanier and tell the insurance company it was stolen .

EDIT: Actually, that lake lanier thing probably wont work since the whole thing will be dried up in like 50 days lol. Stupid drought!
