Thumbs up Installed my Scivision MAF kit tonite!

well although i do wish it had come w/ some directions- a quick peek at www.951max.com website resulted in some detailed installation pics. I wasnt quite sure what the big deal was about switching to an MAF but i figured i would be needing one when i go bigger on the turbo. Took about fifteen minutes to install and the results so far- just started it in the garage- are spectacular! Throttle response is awsome. Cant wait to drive this thing! Right now its stealth installed on the airbox but eventually it'll be moved and the airbox will be gone.

also still need to swap the chips Russel sent me in - have the 951max chips currently but he told me these new ones are alittle better mapped for the Scivision- i'll do a side by side seat of the pants very scientific experiment tomorrow- dan.

So, you are eventually going to just add a cone filter and intake pipe or what?

havent decided yet- never liked having the filter open in the engine bay, but im not sure i want to put it in the fender either. Im sure i'll figure it out later. For now im staying w/ the airbox- i may even run it like this w/ the bigger turbo- stealth ehy?

Stealth for the win.

The other Bill in the bay area is doing something like 340 at the wheels and he is still using the stock air box.

PICS!

drove the car tonite- kinda hard to tell how its running when it keeps wanting to go sideways. When it did finally get traction alittle you could really tell a difference - yet to put in the new chips- Im going to drive it to work tomorrow and see how it feels when the temp is above 30degrees BRRRR! Lots more throttle response for sure.

cant really hear the recirc valve or the turbo more- my wastegate is loud when its open- plus i have a solid trans mount so the whining from the rear is pretty loud. Im sure if it was warmer and i had my windows open i could hear it- i'll roll em down tomorrow and let you know!

Yea the silver 951 was/is the ****. I miss that car. I wish the wife would let me buy another one to keep. And the white 951 is in parts right now. I am thinking about parting it out. Want to help???
