Default Water tube mod with SFR stage II headers

To all of those who has the SFR stage II headers installed , please tell me what you did with the water tube ? I need some ideas here ..

Currently I have a silicone hose here instead of the tube , but I was thinking to replace this with a stainless pipe that where bolted to the chassis OR weld some taps on the cam housing bolts to get the nessecary clearance ( this might be difficult due to the orientation of the EGT probes)

Dont have the SFR stage 2 headers, but i replaced that heater return pipe with a high pressure hose, then i wrapped it with heat wrap. I made it some 6" longer than it should be, to get some 'slack' in case i need to remove the headers w/o draining the cooling system.

I did that because i removed the headers so much, the gasket leaked from the two camshaft housing bolts......

Something to think about, i can take pictures......

Hmm , you happen to have any picures of this ?

If I bend the stock pipe a little it would probably fit in stock position, but then I guess the EGT probes would cause problems..

@Hos , please post a picutre

Well , probes for 1,2 and 3 is possible ( 2 is a thight fit) but @ nr 4 the egt bung is directly below the rear watertube mount.. And there is no way in hell you could sneak a EGT probe in .. So then you`re headers probably must have a different orientated EGT bung @ nr 4

High pressure 1/2" hose (made in Italy), with standard Zinc plated 1/2" straight connectors, wrapped with thermo-tec insulation tape 1" width x 50FT:

Just to show how much "extra" i put, to give enough space to install and remove the headers (or anything else such as cam housing) with-out draining the cooling system/removing the heater pipe:

Sorry for the dirty engine, we had a sand storm last week (been waiting for some parts & tools).

It works fine with a hose , I just wanted a bit more tidy solution ..
So I Put on the stock water tube and disconnected EGT probe from nr 1 and 4 ( they are insulated togheter) .. I had to bend the tube a little to clear nr 4 runner and bend the EGT probe @ nr 2 alittle .. Then it works..

Hos , thanks for the pictures..

Geez, I don't know what then - he did yours differently than mine.

... Would guess a lot of the people with SFR stage II headers also have EGT probes installed. And Cyl nr 4 seems to be the most common one to use for those with only 1 EGT probe , so I thought maybe someone else had done some modification to the watertube or buildt a new one ..

Damn,

I must have welded it in the wrong spot!!!!!! Sorry about that. You could use a high temp silicone hose if you need too or have the stock waterline reworked a little.I can help if you need.I could even move the bung if needed.

Tim , Thanks for offering help but I think I`ll manage this

Silicone hose works fine .. The stock pipe also works fine , but then I can`t use EGT probe in cyl nr 4..

I have some lengts with stainless steel pipes (16mm) lying around and was thinking to make a new one and mount it to the chassis (strut tower) But I think the best would be to weld some longer mounts to the pipe so it fits almost like on the stock tube, just further away from the headers. .. It is a very good excuse to spend some time in the garage

I am having this same problem. The number 4 exhaust tube physically hits the water tube with about a quarter of an inch left to go to the head...

Anyone else have this same issue? Here is a pic:
