Default Dynomite Dyno Day

I was able to dino the Turbo for the first time this weekend. I'll post the data logs here shortly. But with a stock turbo and exhaust and only the mods shown it peaked with a horse power reading of right about 272 hp at the rear wheels and 281 ft. lbs of tq running 15 LBS of Boost. There was a chevy turbo disel that posted 350 hp & 810 ftlbs of tq and was said to be able to run a 14.3 quarter mile.

Yep, stock exhaust. Cat in! stock turbo. Only mods are Authority Stage II Mass Flow, Adjustable fuel Regulator & Adjustable Boost set at 15 lbs.

This shows the the hp peak

The columns read from left to right

--------- Seconds -----------------RPMs -------------------- HP ------------------- Torque

I was a bit over on the readings. Max HP was 269.3 at 5689 RPMs and Torque peaked at

This show the torque peak at 286.3 @ 3500 RPM.

--------- Seconds -----------------RPMs -------------------- HP ------------------- Torque

Here is the Tabular view. I'm going to see of the chart will scan well.

In theory this shouldn't be possible. You sure that you don't have a 2.8 liter or k27 turbo in there? What size injectors are you running?

Yeah... I would think maybe 18psi it could be possible but those are some awesome numbers for 15psi. My car has a much larger turbo, as well as not cat and an aftermarket wastegate and i made 282hp and 283tq at 15psi.

It was on a Dynomite Dino. Nope it's only a 2.5 with stock injectors and my Statge III Turbo along with the 3" inch exhaust and tial is still on my totaled car. The other car's they tested seemed pretty accurate. I don't know, but it sure sounded like a jet engine.

Guys, keep in mind that dyno numbers are only estimates of power and torque, and not absolute. They can easily vary +/-10% from one dyno to another. I know because I've seen it with my car.

We need to know the correction factor used on your Dyno run. In practice the dynomite Dyno tends to read considerable higher than say , a dynojet without the equivalent correction factor ...... 10 % higher is not unreasonable to assume,
ask the dyno operator for the correction factor used on your dyno run ...
