Question Motor Mounts, who has the best price?

Okay I don't know what happened with the price of motor mounts lately but I thought the OEM mounts were about $80-$90 per side, but I just looked at 944online.com, Lindsey Racing, and Paragon and they have the OEM mounts listed anywhere from $120-$160 something. Have I missed something and the price on these has almost doubled or is there a better price somewhere else?

I don't think thats per pair. I believe that is per unit.

yes thank you. I had to come back to my computer for fear of writing that. It's per unit.

On the other hand if you want to waste your money on some crappy ones I believe you can get a pair for about that as well.

Don't even waste your money on aftermarket ones. They've proven themselves to last only ~5000. I don't believe they have the fluid inside them.

Paragon has them for $140-$160, not really the best price.

I am only looking for the OEM mounts, but I really thought they could be had for about $90 each (about a $200 project) but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

The best I could find was Sunset Porsche @ $123.25/ea.

I installed two sets of the aftermarket ones on two different S2s before I started hearing the horror stores. Never had a problem with them. I do not know if I will try them again if the '68 needs motor mounts but FWIW I did not have a problem with the 'German Aftermarket' mounts. No, they were not liquid filled. I did consider thermal wrap for the RH front mount, as I recall it always seemed to be worse off than the LH mount... If the RH mount fails in 5k miles maybe the EGT should be checked?

Mind you Autohauz sell the OE replacement mounts, we call them after market, the are not from Porsche (directly).

You can get after market mounts from almost everyone.
