The car has been smoking a fair amount since I've had it. Chips were installed and I had a blast for three days. Now the car is blowing smoke out the back. I had to change the plugs yesterday, it was running on three cylanders. The back plug was just about dripping with oil and was not firing at all prob.
Am I looking at Turbo being gone, valve seals, and or rings? The cars about to get a compression test in a sec and then the heads gonna come off, any insight? Thanks

my rings were shot 45-55 compression across all 4 and I never got smoke out the tail pipe so that's odd in my case I suppose. Others will chime in here but I think it would have to be a ring if it's only one plug oiled over. I just don't know if I'd waste my time taking the head off when you'll have to pull the motor assuming this is the case.

see the thing is the oil in the hard pipes, including the intake side confirm my suspision of the turbo going bad, I can see a large amount of build up on both sides of the housings. The bottom end was rebuilt on the car so thats the only reason why Im not thinking mainly of the rings, not that its not possible, its just that other things are more present. Even if it is the turbo I will still do the head gasket, APR head studs and double check the head. It will give me time to take the valve cover and make it pretty! Thanks for the quick replys and I'll try to keep you all updated on progress.

I have the same problem but mine is in the number 1 and 2 cylinder. My number 1 cylinder is so bad that if I let the car sit more than a couple of days the plug fouls do to all of the oil.
The only thing I can think that it might be is the rings as the head was rebuilt less than 2,000 miles ago. The wierd thing though is that I did a compression check and the number 1 cylinder was 110, 2 was 120 and 3 and 4 were 135.
I would think that the compression would be much lower with the amount of oil I am going through.

The bottom end was not rebuilt. The ring are the original 180,000 mile ones. Only thing changed in the bottom end was the rod bearings. I wouldn't rule out rings completely. They might not be the main issue, but they surely are not in new condition.

Thanks for the correction Gray I always seem to get ahead of myself,
SpideySlave944 thanks I'm quite the newb when it comes to the turbo's, our shop is having a big Dyno day this Saturday. Free food and on $50 for 3 pulls with wide band. If my junk is running correctly I might throw it on there. You should come over to hang out. www.BREmotorsports.com

its deff all black, the car runs basically perfect with the exception of me disappearing in a cloud of black smoke. I'm surprised no one has asked if its diesel.

You probably torched the h/g.
Take a flashlite down the plug hole & check for antifreeze.
With this ruled out it has got to be seals either in the crankase or turbo.
