Try a leakdown test, a compression will only yield peak pressure. Or attach the compression guage, turn engine over, get your reading but do not unscrew it or bleed the pressure off and see how fast the pressure falls compared to other cylinders that you suspect are good.

I have plug fouling probs due to oil on cylinders 1 and 4. I did a leakdown and I could hear more air through the oil filler cap on these cylinders than 2 and 3. My leakdown test (providing I did it correct) was around 25%! And the car blows smoke out the tailpipe when I get on the boost.
My turbo goes through 1qt of oil every 300 miles or so, but runs like all hell broke loose or tires in its case.
I hate to tear it all apart and I only put a few thousand miles on it a year so I just drive it.
I do get some oil residue in my hard pipes as well.
