TurboX " some tuning and a boost controller and this could be a power monster."

well with record thin bore walls and record fat power band and and an impressive history i would spend all my money on gas and tires and all my time driving .

Big RESPECT for not winding up the boost and rpm for dyno bragging rights . I'm sure the rewards on the track are reward enough.
yeh i cant work out the quote thing

I am not saying he should become a dyno queen like others. I am nearly saying if he flatten out the AFR, and had a constant boost line this thing will be a power monster.

I think turning the boost up on such a pretty engine would be silly.

I do have ebc but at the time of the first dyno it was not program so I did not used. This past july during the second dyno session I shut the ebc off so I could compare results more or less on the same conditions.
As for the a/f ratio that was taken care off long time ago. It is 11.6 under boost conditions.

Next time I go to thw dyno I will try 18psi, full racing gas and ebc on. Not really in rush though.

Will do tomorrow. As for going 200mph the gearing in the 6 speed tranny only goes up to like 165. There is a tread of people looking for a longer gearing for the 6 speed. Let see what happens and who step up and manufacture the oem Turbo S ring and pinion. Porsche does not have it, that I know of.

There is one 3.4 R&P and one set of 968 Turbo S 5th and 6th left. Also I last I knew there was one full Turbo S gearbox available (at $9.5k). Gearing in the 6 speed (stock, not Turbo S) with the proper sized tires and an 8000rpm redline will get you well over 200mph.

HAHAHA - I am glad I kept reading. I could not believe nobody screamed bull**** at the 700+ torque at 2200rpm.

Thanks for sharing, holy crap that is a killer. WOW! impressive

I post it this reply first on the wrong tread. Sorry.

Like I said I'm looking into lowering the rpms for durability and tear and wear reasons. Right know the engine turns 3000 rpms at 70 mph. Nice on a racetrack not really needed on the street. My engine has so much torque I can put longer final drive and I'm almost certain my acceleration with street tires will improve because of less wheelspin on the lower gears. Top speed is of no significance since traffic is so dense you really can exploite it.

Still wonder how does those Wisecos work? Is cylinders just bored over 4mm or is that block sleeved? What coating does those pistons have? "normal" Wiseco pistons does not work with alusil bores.

I agree, looks like normal Alusil cylinders to me. That's why i am interested what they have done to Wisecos...
