Really need some advice here folks...I've got the LR Super 61 turbo and Stage II MAF. I'm trying to get these things to fit properly. The intake for the turbo is somewhat blocked by the alternator (see enclosed pics) so that when I install the hose and hard pipe the pipe is in contact with the alternator (metal to metal) This looks like a potential problem to me....Is there another way to make this work? Thanks appreciate the help.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

It makes solid contact with the alternator. To the point that normal engine vibrations would eventually wear through the pipe. The mount for the alternator is in a fixed position, not adjustable and the turbo is mounted right on the carrier as it should. I can't figure it out???

Would like to keep the AC, since it's primarily a street car.
beab951-have you heard or seen the smaller alternator set-up?

Here is the link to the post on installing a smaller alternator.

Also, here is a picture from Lindsey Racing of a AC delete bracket. It frees up a lot of space in that area.

Derek - are you running this set-up? if so can you post some pics of how yours is positioned? Did you dimple the hard pipe or just let it hit and face upwards? Thanks

i ran into this same problem, you really just have to pretty much make it fit. I called dave at lindsey racing and he told me that, that was how it is and if you mess around with it enough it will work.

I had a LR Super 75 and stage IV maf, with A/C. It is a very tight "fit", the thing is it doesn't realy fit and you kind of have to force and make it fit. It will all go together after a fasion. The coupler onto the turbo has a flex section because it is going to need to flex some to get the inlet pipe in place. It will sit on the alternater when it is in.

I just installed the same turbo in my car. It is just really tight. The pipe for the MAF is either REALLY close or just touching the alt, can't remember now. That and the bov both I had to play with to make everything fit just right. If I delete the a/c and get the bracket, plus get new hard pipes that would really open up the area.

mmm...evil944t, Dave seems to be ahead of the curve in most cases. I purchased some new Malhe pistons from him a while ago for this rebuild. I'll check into that. Thanks!
