So I sent them an e-mail and here is the response:

Here is a copy of the e-mail. I was interested but the amount was more than I could justify for a track only car considering the length of our short driving season.

Dear Mr. XX XXXX

Hello, this is Masaya 'D' Sugi****a from Arktech Motorsports Inc.,
Today, I have received q-mail system notice which tells me the e-mail
was not sent. So, let me send you
e-mail again.

Well, the doors and roof are remain as 968, yet we developing machine
with installing the components from GT500 Supra Yr2000. So, inside of
the machine is totally different.

Engine is also 968 based Single Turbo engine with IHI Turbine.
Thanks for contacting us. At first, let me explain briefly some about
"ARKTECH 968GT4", the machine have been entering in S-GT both the
year 2003 and 2004.

Basically, the layout of transmission and FR(Front engine, Rear
drive) mechanism stay same as 968 production car.

We use seqential transmission from Hewland Engineering, and other
driveshafts and upright are taken and installed from another GT500
class Supra (MY2000).

Engine is also from 968 and dry sump ver. with the pistons from
MAHLE, racing turbine from IHI.
As a result, it yields around 380PS.

Also, we replaced computer to MOTEC M-800&Dash Logger. We do not use
Porsche's computer.

Others are... replacing exterior into dried carbon parts, gas tank
are from Fuelsafe as custom made, and also installing air-jacks too.
These are basically to follow the GT300 rules.

Now, the machine is taken apart into pieces to revise and rebuild the
machine.
We have 5 sets of Magnesium Wheels (11J x 18 inch). The size of tire
is 280/710. We can also sell the tires too.

If you would like to purchase, we can build the machine again, and
price is 16,000,000JPY.
First, pay 10,000,000JPY when we have contract, then pay the left
when the machine is shipped.

If you have interests, just let me know. Thanks for your concern.

Sincerely

Masaya

With the current exchange rate that puts the car just under $140K. More than I can justify for a track only car but it sure would be cool to own. Just thought I would post it here to see if there is any interest.

Are you implying that they're the correct shape for that particular driver???
Really nice car by the way and I bet it's typically Japanese and perfect in every way. Not so big on power, but I'm sure it toddles along quite nicely.

Those look a lot like F1 mirrors.

Come to think of it, they look exactly like the mirrors on my friend's Formula SCCA car too.

Haha, you guys can get anything registered up there. My friend drives his drag car up there, and just hangs a plate off the chute. never any problems with the authorities.

I can ask for you. I still say this car would be awesome to own. How many other professional raced 968 Turbo cars can you name that are for sale?

There is a very similar version in the states. He races it out here, in the midwest. We also have a Real factory 924GTR. Both are awsome!
