it turns out the 1000cc RC injectors are actually re-branded lucas injectors.

according to the injector guy, there are only a handful of companies that actually manufacture injectors, and the rest just re-brands them.

also, he was curious what the 951 uses to drive the injectors (peak and hold?), as that will affect the results. anyone know?

The stock DME is peak and hold.

testing completed. here's the spray pattern comparison. it looks like the stock bosch has the finest spray, followed by the lucas/rc 1000. it's a tossup between the siemens and delphi. this was surprising as i thought for sure the finer holes in the delphi would have resulted in a finer spray, but it doesn't work out that way. the simple pintle style of the plain old bosch actually produces a finer spray.

another interesting thing to note, the spray pattern does not noticeably change between 20psi to 100psi of fuel pressure.
