Ah cool didn't know that. Good to know. So then your car's moving further and further from a street car and closer to a race car, then?

I have put the Elephant bushings in a bunch of cars – no noise if done right – did yours get drilled and the grease fittings installed?
BTW – pull the dash cover off! Its good for at least a ¼ hp….
The engine does rev nice and quick – do you like the lightened crank / flywheel combo?

Looks like fun. We have some good hill climbs down in Pa - some are several minutes long!

Yes we've got the grease nipples exposed. (Careful, this is a family show). Next time I'll take off the mirror too and raise the sun visor. It was my first time with the camera in the car and I was expecting to do more than the 3 runs yesterday.
Yes I actually love the lightened crank and flywheel and I remember you saying that you liked yours Chris. Maybe having some issues with the clutch though but it's so intermittent that it's hard to pinpoint. Seems as though it had done it after a couple of hard take offs in 1st and fast into 2nd. It then happens in the higher gears under load but not necessarily at WOT. I am being encouraged to look to a spec or puk clutch but am concerned over drive-ability in Sydney traffic.
I would imagine that a hillclimb of several minutes would really test the concentration. It's like rallying and there's very little time to rest unlike circuits, but very challenging and rewarding when you get it right.

it wouldve been better if you filmed the road for the whole thing rather than the dash for the first half. otherwise the car sounds good

Ha ha, that reminds me of going on the track once with the weakly attached dash cover . At certain speeds it began to hover right into the field of view.
It’s not an easy task to race with one hand and the other desperately trying to control a flying dash cover.

Well I actually wanted to see the dash and the wheelwork from that angle anyway so it served the purpose. It made me realize just how off center the wheel is too.

I thought we had it licked with the new coil & leads, but it hit twice on the way there and back.

Well I can either leave it on and lose that 1/4 hp, or take it off and show all the cracks!

Makes me think just how dangerous these hillclimb and Targa events are. Just so many things to hit if you go off. Fun though!!!

That's a point. Were did you get the dash cover for a RHD car Patrick as I've never seen them here in the UK and we are starting to get a few cars with cracks now.

Well spotted. Not sure and it hasn't been a major issue so we've concentrated on other things. We'll attend to it soon.
Paul, not sure. It came with the car. I'll see if anyone knows down here. We really have cracking dashes in OZ as you can imagine.

Patrick I just had to post this link of Prestcott hilllclimb from our club championship. Sorry it's not a 951 but it's a 993RS driven by Colin Belton who runs Ninemeister here in the UK and converts so many 968's to Supercharger:
