Default the best way to spend $1,500 dollars on a 951?

This is currently a hypothetical, but the 951 will be coming off the road in a month or two, and i know i'll feel the need to take advantage of the down time.

I already have chips, 38mm wastegate, test pipe/exhaust, 3 bar fpr, mbc.

The options that i can think of are:

-larger turbo/injectors and a remapped chip.

-MAF, cone filter, software

- polished hard pipes and a speedforce IC

Anyone care to contribute ideas? wish lists?

morty is, i believe saying MAF first...and turbo if you can.
Personally my 3rd move would be an exhaust.

yes exhaust is very cost effective but i would give the things that make downtime the priority for now wich is a turbo /wastgate .
as for down time on a maf set up i don't know much as i go strait to progrmable efi but i would gues if you got one from a similar spec car you would have in on and running on a sunday??

I considered the same hypothetical and decided the best thing to do first would be the MAF, filter and software. Exhaust is a close 2nd, but since you are talking downtime, MAF would be a better fit -- exhaust doesn't take much down time!

maf doesnt take very much down time. i would say maf with somthing like the mafterburrner, chips, and wideband o2, and hard pipes if you can afford them too. that would get you quite a bit performance wise. then save up for a good turbo with some injectors. then you will a very fast car all the way through.

Get a Vitesse MAF first, it will work straight out of the box with very little downtime. If you go for a turbo now you will also need remapped chips and I think you will struggle to get a good product for your budget.

if you're set on doing engine mods I would suggest getting at Maf and injectors as you will need both of those for future upgrades

if it were my car though and I already had a few performance mods like you do, I'd probably spend the money on suspension upgrades

I like the MAF and hardpipes idea... Maybe i'll try to find a used maf/filter, then get some SFR hardpipes.

Suspension isn't a bad idea, but I do a lot of highway driving, and tend to run with a fast crowd. Or maybe I'm just addicted to speed (not the drug).

never underestimate those 1st generation DSMs.

go belts, rollers, water pump, and front engine seals.
