My calculations shows the 0,82 a/r at a boost:backpressure ratio at about 1:1 all the way up to 2,0 bar of boost on a 2.5l.

IMHO you won't gain anything going with the 0,82 a/r over the 0,63 at a modest boost of 1,2 bar.
And compressor wise, the GT30R (GT3076R) is more than enough for that power levels.

So my recommendation stands

hehe... yes but when I spec'ed my turbo is was planned for a solid lifter 50mm intake / 42 mm exhaust valved head, 2.0 bar boost, 600 hp etc...

Then my norweigan engine builder dissapeared along with my engine parts and I ended up with a compromise.

Duke, don't worry. You would have had terrible off boost performance with valves that big, lol.

What are "good" prices for a Garrett 3076R w/ .63 hotside?
I found it for $1,225.00 here http://www.pagparts.com/perfpts1.asp...bo&cat=gtturbo.
The same turbo (as far as I can tell) is available from Pauer Tuning (http://www.pauertuning.com/turbos.htm) as a "Bolt-on proposition for the 951"...

What else is needed? Modified down pipe (flange and diameter) oil/water cooling lines (or atleast ends), some sort of custom mounting bracket????

@Duke: How did you calculate backpressure for the GT30?

well I finally tested the car on track after building the chassis and its wicked fast, really gonna need a tad more response so I will stick with the GT30R. diy-wheel angles by eyesight, hence running very old tires as they are worn wrong, and ehh forgetting to mount brake scoops makes for some very early brakeing, and the way off toe inn settings on rear really makes it oversteer even with 0 degrees camber up front! man it was weird to drive, but at the same time very fun. the black blob behind me on video is a GT2

I gueas the main calculation for the back pressure is the ratio of inlet to exhuast cfm you then feed those numbers into the two maps and i imagine discard the pressure differential from different cams and such . If i knew that cfm ratio with would be similar to valve sizes i would be happy to just put them on the maps .

cell phone! damnit! k750 I now have 3 transmissions in the garage and 6 drive shafts... got 6 tires that needs to be exposed of... mmm

the irony here is I have professional video recording gear and dataloggers, but who remembers stuff like that when you are takeing the car for the first trackday it has ever had! there will be videos in the future though.
