prob your fuel level sender, when I first got my car it did the same thing. Replaced the fuel level sender (the thing under the hatch carpet) and now it goes to the full line.

I'll generally get 350 miles before the gas light pops on...

The original question has been answered a bunch of times...but here's a new data point...my last tank...

465 miles, 18 gallons -- 26mpg largely highway, but a number of short trips in there

Then again, when I went to 944fest, I had cruise set at 90 and would refill at 300 miles.... at slightly less than a half tank.

Hmm, I get 400 km (250 mi) with short city driving, highway driving 550 km (340 mi).

Not surprising my economy is so poor given that there is a thick layer of carbon on the inside of the exhaust, and unburnt fuel all over the back of the car. There's also a nice big jet black blast pattern extending out of the garage from stuff coming out the exhaust when it is warming up.

325 miles before the light comes on commuting. Best ever road trip was 29 mpg but I had my foot in it most of the time. My NA would go over 400 miles before the light came on.

Andy, are you doing city driving or freeway driving? I drive Germantown to work every day and am generally always on the throttle (have to when climbing the hill). I get around...280? If I took 26 every day I think I'd make closer to 350/tank...but the freeway is so boring!

Ha, try 3.0L with big turbo, big inj, big fuel pump and getting on the boost. My petrol gauge looks like my tacho dropping down to idle!

I get 28+mpg on the highway at 75mph or 80mph. The furthest I've gone on a tank was 450 miles, and it took about 16 gallons when I filled it up. Very modest mods are in my signature.
