Default Anyone have a oil pressure relief valve alignment tool...

... they are willing to lend out or rent for a week? I've recently come to realize I will need to replace that gasket and REALLY don't feel like paying SOOOO much for a tool I only hope to use once in the next couple of years.

I'm in the Philly area and only mildly shadey. My goal is to have this project wrapped up by Sunday afternoon so I can drive to work Monday morning leak free. Whoo hoo!

Its not that expensive. Last time I bought it from www.baumtools.com, it was only $20 something.

Use the OPRV to line up the housing. Then tigten down all the bolts and then the OPRV. You DON'T need that dumb tool.

If you have the old 3-piece OPRV, the tool is much more important to use of course...

I have the old style OPRV.

I got the tool....

Because on my NA (with the updated piece) the local "specialist" replaced the oil cooler seals and followed that method you guys talk about, instead of using the tool. A year later down the road, zero oil pressure while doing 80mph, rod siezed......the OPRV is stuck in the cooler

Default Is that good or bad?

Mine hovers around 5 until about 30mins+ of drive time then settles down.

Really, I've read the posts, and still have that "I'd like to follow the book the 1st time" feeling. ONly prob is the cheapest I've found is $39 plus $8 shipping. Bummer.
