I have an option to buy some decent Simmons rims with 9" rear width, not ideal, but have any run over 275's without hassle?

I think you may be pushing it to go over that on 9" rims. I have 255s on my Simmons 9" fronts and they sit about perfect.

I run 275s on my Fikse 9's and they seem to be perfect, but I would be afraid to go any bigger honestly.

I run 275 Hankook's and they fit perfectly. Different brands seem to vary a bit though. :/

This is were I look to determine rim vs tire size. Looks like 275 is about the max on a 9 inch rim. Click on the link and select the 2007 catalog. Lots of good information on all type of tires.

I just bought 9" wide wheels that came with 285/30 p-zeros on them. Looking at the inside of the wheel you can tell its a little narrow but so far there have been no issues. When it comes time to replace them I will most likely put 275s.. 285s seem to be much more $ then 275s

245-255 is perfect fit, anymore and you're looking at a doughnut with a lot of sidewall sticking out...

Does anyone have a pic of a 275 on a 9 inch rim?

275 on the left, 255 on the right. I don't think the 275 looks bad on a 9 inch rim.

Andrew doesn't give a crap about that. He builds cars to perform, you build cars to match your masscara.

I had rubbing issues with a 275 tire on 17x9 rears - had to roll the fenders. I prefer the 255 on the 9 inch rim - the 275's were too tall for my taste.

I wouldn't run anything WIDER than a 275 on a 9" tire. If your heart is set on it. I would get another set of rims.
