Hey guys,
So I've been battling a idle and vacuum leak recently.
1st, I found a plug that the mechanic forgot to plug in under the intake manifold. Plugged it in.....sweet.....tracking idle problem solved. BTW - could anyone explain what I plugged in??
2nd, I had a ginormous vacuum leak. Popped the hood and found the issue. The bolt (circled) in the picture below was missing. So - I put a piece of hardware in to at least stop the leak.

Now - I cannot adjust my idle. My guess is that whatever was there has some sort of mixing ability. Does anyone have this piece?? Let me know - once this problem is solved, it's on to the NEXT idle issue.
3rd, my throttle will sometimes hang coming off of revs. Could be a TPS adjustment - I'm going to head outside to check in a little bit. It will hang....not all the time....just sometimes. Hang at 3K, 2K....it doesn't discriminate.
Thanks guys. Any help/ advice is greatly appreciated.

Thats your idle control screw.
you'll want to replace that with the proper parts.
check yout TPS to make sure it closes all of the way & clicks at the last second.
also make sure your throttle cable isn't catching or sticky.

The TPS clicks immediately when I move the throttle - so I believe that means it is adjusted properly. No stick on the cable - the throttle was disassembled and cleaned and is smooth as a babies butt (I also thought it was a simple mechanical stick issue).
Venturi system is gone. Plug was probably 1" x 1/2"
Anyone know where I can get a new idle screw?

call Randall Johnson, Park Place Porsche in Dallas - they stock em since he owns 2 944T, he sells things at good prices to RL members. 214-770-4662. I got a spare from him last month to keep in my tool kit.
