show me your race proven wings
Hi, as my car will be a dedicated racecar and mostly used for the nordshleife and spa-francochamps I need more downforce, what wings are you guys using? rules dictates it can not be taller than roof or wider than body.
pics and info would be awsome.

well not sure wich wing but here are a couple of tips of how to get the most out of it no wider than the car bolow the wing or no wider than the widest part of the car . if it is the first the wing should be moved foward above the rear gaurds alowing wider wing if it is the later the wing goes right out the back on the clean air and has more leverage of the car . also a bowed rear wing as you will get more wing area per width . .
i imagine a wing from a touring car would be best as they have similar rules .
if your doing high speed stuff take the time to flatten off the bottom of your car with some sheeting also builing venturies under the car for down force is easy .

This one is from Rennspeed. Standard "race" quality fiberglass construction. It is larger than the TRS wing. It made a noticable difference on the track, especialy with high speed thresh hold brakeing it kept the rear end much more stable and planted.

I would be interested into looking at this and how to do it. I am slowly turning my car into a more track car/weekend car and this would help keep good down force. Anyone on here actually do this and have any feed back or how they did it?

A flat bottom works well but is not easy to do because of the exhaust and design of the rear tub. But you can limit the amount of air that gets under the car in the first place to a similar effect. That is why I switched to the GT-racing front piece.

Do we think that with a larger rear spoiler that you would have to use a front splitter to counteract or work in concert with it? The front splitters that we use seem to protrude horizontally to the road and I wonder what effect they have?

While I've been doing break-in on my 2.8 build I've been running without the front splitter. I do notice that the front of the car feels looser without it.

hmm I'm getting some ideas here, i have a few engineering friends and will try to have them run simulations, seems I will also make my entire front of CF instead of fiberglass as a customer of me said he would sponsor my project with work/cf/epoxy++ if I just supply molds and take him for a ride once done.

I plan on using a second gen RX7 one. Looke them up. Very well done and affordable. Their set up is almost exactly like ours with the tranny in the rear. I bet Fitment will be amazingly close.
