Alright so I pressure tested it today and had terrible luck. At 10psi there were no visible leaks but when I increased it to 15psi there was a slow steam out of the area in question. There were also a few drops coming out of the small line that attaches to the waterpump.

GRRRR!!!!!

The second leak is object number 7 in this link...

It doesn't should a gasket should be there, just a seal ring. Is that right?

Should I replace object 7 too since its less than $10?

Those housing are a common leak. They tend to warp and create a gap that cannot be closed with just two bolts. Get the housing and the o-ring. The o-ring is the only seal in there.

If you take the housing off and put it on a flat surface, you can usually confirm that it is warped by sliding a feeler gauge under it.

Has anyone made something to prevent the plastic piece from warping?

I was talking to someone (?) on the list a while back about making a CNC aluminum version. Seems like that would do the trick.

Yeah that would be great. I'm now wondering why my PO didn't replace this and the water pump when he had the belts done 3 years ago.
