Stop leak additives?

Stop leak additives?
I know that they are not a fix for a larger problem but are any okay to use in the car for a temporary usage? Has anyone used one with positive or negative results?
The gasket between the cam tower and the head is leaking. It drips oil on the header and smokes like crazy, so I can't drive it. The gasket never leaked until I (against my better judgement) used Mobil1 synthetic.
I am going to try loosening and re-tightening the bolts before anything else.
I am not sure when the gasket can get replaced, I will probably take it to the shop in the spring, when I get the car out of storage.
I just don't have the time to do it, nor the timing belt tool.
Any advice?

I am a somewhat competent mechanic but have little experience on the 951 so I have a learning curve working against me, a few hours can turn into a weekend.
Not to mention, I don't have a timing belt tool.
What do you think a shop would charge, what is book time?
The local Porshce dealer works on 951's "every once and a while". So I don't put much faith into them. The only other shop that I have found is over an hour away and seemed dissapointed that it was a street car, they deal mostly with track cars.

Weel, if you buy the parts upfront, use Clarks-garage.com and go here http://www.arnnworx.com/ You should be able to do the job just fine. I can send you a link to the shop manual as well, if you need it.
So, that will take care of the timing belt tool, two separate manuals with step by step instructions AND you have Rennlist to come to for questions that you can't find, figure out, or have frustrated you. Perhaps Labor Day would give you enough extra "oh ****!" time.
BTW shp time in FL is between 75/hr (independent shop and 100/hr (Brumos Porsche).

$140 is pricey for the little use it would ever get but, certainly better than the Porsche version. Thanks for the link!
The car is a 86, the gasket is under the cam tower, therefore; the belt would need to be removed/reinstalled for the gasket swap.
