lol, My triple beam was just calibrated My digital was always off a bit. It all depends on the spec of the rod and the materials etc..

[QUOTE=evil 944t;4764380]Hah, good idea. I better send mine off for calibration. I could be giving stuff away.

Just got the first set of the rods for 3.0 L and 2.8 build up's. These rods are custom made here in Finland. Every rod weight 108.4G and about 150G less than stock 951 rods (1986), Total weight savings 600G. Looks a lot like those Wossner rods. Would be interested to know the weight of Wossner, Pauter, Carillo etc. rods. These rods will go to Beni's storker engine in Switzerland. Will get mine within couple of weeks.

My rod manufacturer said he could make these much lighter, but he ended to this weight because he liked to have them as durable/strong as possible. His rods are widely used in rally and drag race cars here in Finland. I know several BMW engined drag race cars with similar rods and about 2000 hp.
There is not solid price tag for these rods, more you order the cheaper they will be. I suppose these rods are not very attractive altenative for US-market because € is so strong over $.
Next thing we are looking for with him is a 951 flywheel. We already use his 951 clutch disks.
He also made quite nice throttlebodies 70 & 75mm (available blue,red & black).
New disk with worn out 951S disk
what comes to the weight of the stock rod; there are several different designs available. I have seen three slightly different designs of the forged rods. And then there are those cast ones as well. All of them has also a different weight.

"In case you were wondering -
Stock = 837 grams
Carrillo = 720 grams
Pauter = 671 grams"

Just bought few sets of these One for me other sets for Pete & Arto to their 3.0 liters. Best thing is the delivery time which is week or two depending how fast you need them.

Look nice and neat Olli. I thought Pete's car was all together already though?
Funny reading through this thread. How happy they seemed then...
...getting happy again though...
