Default Wheel Fitment - 18x11

Alright. I'm trying to determine if these wheels will fit on my '87 951.

18x8 ET 50
18x11 ET 45

I think the fronts should fit without any problems, but its the rears I'm worried about.

rears will stick out too far- you could fit the 18x10 version of those on your car w/ spacers since they are like 65 offset.

I run 18x10 wheels in the rear with spacers....no fitment issues. But it's hard for me to imagine anything bigger... I'm sure it's possible to fit an 11" wheel back there, but it will probably require some custom work. Will the extra 1" make a huge difference??? Prolly not...

Won't fit an 87, tried it. 18x10 65 et fit nicely w/ 285s and no spacers.

Oh well, looks like I'll have to pass on a nice wheel set deal then.

the only way to make that 18x11 wheel fit, you have to buy two 86turbo rear hub then it will work, that what I did..

I bought 18x8 and 10 wheels for my '91 S2. I test fitted the wheels the other day without tires, and the 10" rear is a 65mm offset. There is less then a 2 finger gap between my inner fender and wheel on the rear passenger side. I don't see how a 285 would fit without rubbing the inner fender when the suspension compresses and the wheel cambers in. That's why I'm going 275/35 on the rear.

An 11" wheel is damn wide (close to 12" overall), and you must account for the tire sticking out a little farther then the rim edges. But keep looking!

Test fitting with just the rim is deceiving as the suspension travels in an arc. Mine clears no problem, but when I looked at it without tires I thought no way. There are more than a few listers running with 285s on a 10" rim w/ 65mm et.

O, I fully understand the movement of the suspension and all of the arcs involved between different points. I just think that about 1 3/4 fingers from the inner fender is cutting it close. I don't possibly foresee the tire being parallel to the lip of the wheel, so I figure the tire will be wider at the lip of the wheel then the wheel itself (hard to explain what I mean).

I'm sure it will fit, as others have done it. Just a little paranoid, that's all. lol

Did you guys consider the prices of tires of an 18X11 rim?
Bridgestone potenza: 285/30/18 $300
Pirelli Pzero: 285/30/18 $357

So best case scenario you are getting away with 1000-1300 in tires alone. Wow. I would get really mad if I got a flat tire.
