That has its true merits, but curious if performance is given up?
No cycling valve, the tial was connected in single port form with a mbc.

got mine run w/ mbc using both ports- holds beautifully and boost is much stronger than w/ stock wastegate.

I also swithched from a shimmed WG to Tial and am very happy- it made a noticeable improvement. The shimmed one bled off to 12-13 at redline and the Tial holds 15 easily. I'll post a Dyno comparison within the next few weeks.

Lart, why is the Tial chart so choppy and the previous one smooth? My original was choppy and I was hoping the Tial would smooth it out. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...highlight=dyno

Ahh, very nice. Not sure I'll have the ***** to turn mine up to 21 though. Then again I didn't think I would turn it up to 18 either, but nothing bad has happened yet..

I have ran up to 23psi and drove the car hard for a week, actually I wanted to blow the engine, I was looking for a excuse to build another engine(had 3 spare motors) but as much abuse I have given my current motor still holds together.

Ok, I'm sold. So where's the best place to get a 38mm Tial? Single port?

I'll add a little here...
I have one of Danno's Wastegates - kind of...
When I was going through my financial "adventure" with him, I'd had enough, and told him I was returning everything - chips, FPR, WG (I had already installed the HG) - but before I did, I opened the wastegate. It didn't have a washer or shim - it had an extra spring inside.
My old one was actually in better shape than his rebuild, so I cleaned/rebuilt it, added a similar sized spring. I figured it was worth a try.
It did hold boost better - I saw a solid consistent 18 psi (as set on my EBC) at 5800 RPM. Problem is I think a 22 year old WG will still not be ideal. It does stick at times, causing uneven boost, but for $1.00 in parts I can't complain.
I have a 38mm TiAL on order from SFR. Looking forward to newer technology.

The spring was also changed out to a .8 at first and then a 1 bar spring. Would start to open about 10-12psi. Stock opening about 3-4psi and shimmed opening about 4-5psi

What spring would you use for a mostly stock setup, .8 or 1 bar? Dose Tial make DP WG?
