Default I need a radiator for '88 951

I know it's a long shot, but if anyone has a NEW radiator laying around that they won't be needing, and you're willing to let it go for less than retail, please let me know. I just figured I'd try here first before shelling out $310+ for a new one from a vendor.

Thanks.

Shane, I would love to pay only $40 for a radiator, but I am real hesitant to purchase a used one. I want one that is guaranteed not to leak or be restricted, hence my looking for a new one. $40 sure sounds a lot better than $300 though. If no new ones show up I'll be in touch. Just for kicks, how many miles are on it?

Thank you for the offer, much appreciated!

the car it came off of had about 90k on it. Just fyi, Vertex usually has the best deal on the radiators new, that's where I got mine last year. Tell them you saw there price special in excellence.

As usual when I need to replace a part I considered upgrading. However, my car never runs hot, even on 90* days at the track. No AC condenser blocking air flow helps I'm sure. So stock should be adequate.

Those HMR ones do look pretty sweet though...solid endcaps, stainless drain plug, etc... Why do you tempt me like this Tim?

Purchased a brand new 951 radiator from Vertex in FL for US$249, talk to Sid Gonza, nice guy.

www.vertexauto.com

New ones are always in favour of used, they are pretty old now and god knows how long they have been off the car getting rusted internally and if there is a blockage (even partial).

Do it once, do it right

Do a Google search, for radiator, Porsche 944 Turbo, you will get several hits with good prices. I forget which vendor I purchased mine from but that's how I found it. It's German made and looks exactly like the stocker, plastic end tanks and all, and it DOESN'T LEAK. I think I paid like $215 or maybe $225 or so, shipped. I also have a leaky stocker that you could have for the price of shipping....

I'm looking for one too and can't seem to find a deal like that either. How long ago was that Rodney? I've heard that price range from a few people, maybe they've gone up a lot recently.

Current price on the website is $299. Maybe I'll call Sid and see if he can do better.

I replaced my radiator about two years ago so maybe the prices I was throwing around are not realistic anymore.
